'Mosambi': Malayalam Typeface

I’ve seen the Malayalam language expressed in many ways growing up. Malayalam display texts are seen heavily in political wall graffiti, films and print. Mosambi’s retro, round, high contrast style reminded me of an art deco pattern. The basic rule was to have thin vertical strokes and apply weight on arches. Had the most fun with this project!
